About Us


This simulator has been created as part of the Seniors IT project funded by the Victorian Government through the Adult, Community and Further Education board. The designers are:


Chris EwinChris has over 10 years of experience in developing and delivering training programs, having taught students at all levels from pre-accredited, introductory courses through to University subjects. He has also provided professional development and resource development in the corporate and community sector. He is a founding member of the Chelsea PC Support Group, which provides large group presentations and IT support to over 150 senior citizens in the Chelsea area and was awarded the prestigious Kingston Young Citizen of the Year award in 2010 for his contributions to the group. He runs a successful small business in Computer Repair/Consultancy and is currently completing a PhD in Computer Science, having presented research at highly respected international conferences.
 
Carrie EwinCarrie is a highly experienced technology teacher and course developer who has a particular focus on the needs of seniors. She has spearheaded the Seniors IT program, developing and successfully applying for government and corporate funding to deliver a program targeted towards improving the digital literacy skills of Seniors throughout South East Melbourne, for which she was awarded the prestigious Kingston Young Citizen of the Year award in 2015. In addition to teaching and course development she delivers group technology presentations for seniors, holds a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) / Bachelor of Law and is a provisional Educational & Developmental Psychologist.
 
Cheryl EwinCheryl is an IT tutor who specialises in delivering programs targeted towards the needs of seniors. She teaches at numerous community centres throughout South-East Melbourne and holds a Bachelor in Education, a Graduate Diploma of Professional Development and a Certificate IV in Information Technology (Networking).


Carrie, Chris & Cheryl Ewin are also the authors of the popular Facebook for Seniors book.
